COP26 Demonstrations

BisCAN organised demonstrations at the Green Shop and Eastcombe village green to mark the recent COP26 event. The messaging of the placards emphasised the role of the individual in mitigating climate change. COP26 is the first time that there has been universal recognition that fossil fuels are driving climate change, so reducing our personal use is critical to a solution.

Members of ChalCAN marched from Chalford to join the demonstration on Eastcombe village green, where they were entertained by music from the hilltop band.

The event also allowed local people to show how they are making a difference by sharing their efforts on a map of the local area. The plan is to provide this information on line to inspire others.
